About TPC Prestancia — Stadium Course
The TPC Prestancia Stadium Course is Sarasota's TPC flagship - a Ron Garl design from 1985 routed through a 565-acre Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary with a stadium-golf philosophy inspired by TPC Sawgrass. The course hosted PGA Tour Champions events for multiple seasons and remains the private club standard-bearer of the Sarasota market. Members and sponsored guests only.
History
TPC Prestancia — Stadium Course — History
Ron Garl and the PGA Tour player Mike Souchak built the Stadium Course in 1985 on Palmer Ranch in Sarasota, and the PGA Tour has operated it since. A comprehensive renovation is under way.
Design
TPC Prestancia — Stadium Course — Design
Ron Garl and the PGA Tour player Mike Souchak built the Stadium Course in 1985, taking their cue from TPC Sawgrass. It plays 6,941 yards from the tips and rewards shot-making rather than length, with undulating greens that rise and fall as you approach them. The course is currently undergoing a tee-to-green rebuild intended to modernise the infrastructure and refine the bunkering while keeping the original character.
