About The Concession Golf Club
The Concession Golf Club takes its name from Jack Nicklaus conceding a short putt to Tony Jacklin at the 1969 Ryder Cup - the most celebrated act of sportsmanship in the game's history. Their joint design in Bradenton produces a course ranked among America's top 100 and consistently cited by touring professionals as one of Florida's finest private layouts. At 7,474 yards it is long, exacting, and unforgiving. Private members and sponsored guests only.
History
The Concession Golf Club — History
The Concession Golf Club opened in 2006 near Bradenton, designed by Jack Nicklaus with Tony Jacklin. Its name honors the 1969 Ryder Cup, when Nicklaus conceded Jacklin's short putt to halve their match and tie the Cup. The club hosted the 2015 NCAA Championship and a 2021 World Golf Championships event.

The Concession Golf Club — Design
Named for the most famous act of sportsmanship in golf: at the 1969 Ryder Cup at Royal Birkdale, Jack Nicklaus conceded Tony Jacklin's short putt to halve their match and tie the contest. The two designed this together in Bradenton, and Nicklaus built it as an unapologetically hard golf course -- it stretches near 7,500 yards with a 155 slope, one of the steepest in the state, and the greens are severely undulating. It hosted the 2021 World Golf Championships. A short course, The Gimme, was added in 2019.
