About Innisbrook Resort — Copperhead Course
The Copperhead Course is Florida's most celebrated resort track - a Larry Packard design from 1972 threading through rolling, pine-framed corridors that defy every expectation of Florida golf. The course hosts the annual Valspar Championship on the PGA Tour, and its Snake Pit finishing stretch (holes 16, 17, and 18) has ended more tournament rounds than any three consecutive holes on the Gulf Coast. Par 71 from the tips at 7,340 yards means it plays long and unforgiving. Resort guests and outside visitors can book.

The Copperhead Course opened in 1972 at Innisbrook Resort near Palm Harbor, designed by Larry Packard over terrain unusually rolling for Florida. It hosts the PGA Tour's Valspar Championship, whose demanding three-hole finish, holes 16 through 18, is known as the Snake Pit.

At better than 7,200 yards to a par 71 it is long, but the finish is what decides it: the closing three holes are known as the Snake Pit.
