TPC Tampa Bay is a Bobby Weed design co-created with Chi Chi Rodriguez - a public-access tournament venue that has hosted PGA Tour Champions events on a par-71 layout of strategic bunkering and water-threaded corridors in Lutz, north of Tampa. The TPC pedigree means conditioning is maintained at a higher standard than comparable daily-fee courses, and the public access model means golfers don't need a resort stay or membership to access it.

TPC Tampa Bay — Design
Bobby Weed built this for the PGA Tour in 1991 and it has hosted 21 consecutive Champions Tour events. The routing winds through natural wetland, cypress heads and lagoons -- 19 water features in all -- with 81 bunkers placed to make the aggressive line cost something. The greens are large, averaging around 6,400 square feet and undulating, but most are open at the front, so a run-up approach is a real option. It is as demanding as the player chooses to make it.
