About Hammock Beach Resort — Conservatory Course
The Conservatory Course is Tom Watson's inland counterpoint to the Hammock Beach Ocean Course - a bold, heavily contoured 7,262-yard design of expansive bunkering and undulating fairways that demands a different set of skills than the oceanfront neighbor. Watson's design is routinely cited as one of the more challenging resort tests in northeast Florida, making the Hammock Beach campus one of the few properties offering two genuinely distinct Ultra-Premium experiences at the same address.

Tom Watson built the Conservatory in 2006 as the inland counterpart to Hammock Beach's oceanfront course, and he built it long: 7,750 yards is among the longest in Florida. Watson shaped the ground rather than accepting it flat, using mounding and deep, steep-faced bunkering to create the definition the site did not have. It plays to TifEagle greens over Bermuda fairways.
