The Waldorf Astoria Golf Club is Rees Jones's design winding through a wetland preserve adjacent to Disney property - a course built and maintained to the luxury standards of the Waldorf Astoria brand's first golf course anywhere. Jones threaded the routing through cypress hammocks and natural water features, producing a layout that plays long enough at 7,054 yards to reward serious golfers while remaining enjoyable for resort guests. The conditioning rivals anything in the Orlando market.

Waldorf Astoria Golf Club — History
The Waldorf Astoria Golf Club opened in 2008, designed by Rees Jones on a wooded, wetland-laced site adjoining the Waldorf Astoria and Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek resorts. It is regularly regarded as one of the better resort layouts in the Disney-area corridor.
Design
Waldorf Astoria Golf Club — Design
Rees Jones and Steve Weisser routed this through a central Florida wetland preserve, using the land's existing contours rather than imposing shape on it, with ancient cypress and stands of pine lining the corridors. Jones drew explicitly on classic courses, some of them a century old, then layered subtleties over that traditional frame. Five sets of tees carry it from scratch player to high handicap across just over 7,100 yards.
