About Tiburón Golf Club — Gold Course
Tiburón's Gold Course is Greg Norman's signature stacked-sod design at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples - a no-rough layout of 7,288 yards that hosts two of Florida's most prominent professional events: the LPGA Tour's season-ending CME Group Tour Championship and the PGA Tour's QBE Shootout. The design philosophy eliminates traditional rough in favor of tight, firm turf that rewards precise iron play from any lie. Conditioning is at Ritz-Carlton standard throughout the year.
History
Tiburón Golf Club — Gold Course — History
The Gold Course opened in 1998 at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, designed by Greg Norman - Tiburon is Spanish for shark, a nod to his Great White Shark nickname. It hosted the QBE Shootout for two decades and, since 2013, the LPGA's season-ending CME Group Tour Championship.

Tiburón Golf Club — Gold Course — Design
The second of Greg Norman's two courses at Tiburon and marginally the gentler, though it shares the Black's vocabulary -- towering pines, stacked sod-wall bunkering, coquina waste areas and water on several holes. It opens with a risk-and-reward par 5 set among tall trees, bending right and then back left around a large lake, which sets the tone: the aggressive line is available on most holes but rarely free.
