Palmetto Golf Course is a Miami-Dade county-operated layout in Kendall - par 70, just under 6,700 yards, and one of the few Miami-area courses with lights. Open until 9pm daily (last tee 8pm), with a lighted 22-position driving range. Green fees run $21 walking weekday to $75 with cart on weekends. The design is flat and honest, with water on multiple holes and the kind of pricing that keeps the tee sheet full year-round.

Palmetto Golf Course — History
Dick Wilson designed Palmetto in 1959 on 121 acres alongside US-1, built by the developers Porter, Russell and Wagor. Miami-Dade County purchased it in 1967 and has operated it as a public course since.

Dick Wilson designed Palmetto in 1959 on 121 acres running alongside US-1 south of SW 152nd Street, built by the developers Porter, Russell and Wagor and bought by Miami-Dade County in 1967. It has been a county course ever since, and the design is Wilson's classic municipal work -- a par 70 that gets its difficulty from shape and placement rather than length, at about 6,500 yards from the back tees.
