Costa del Sol Golf Club is a Robert E. Cupp design from 1974 - one of his earliest works, predating his long tenure at Nicklaus Design - routed through the Costa del Sol residential community in western Miami. Par 72 at 6,011 yards, it's a shorter course by championship standards but offers honest public-access pricing and is open to the public despite being inside a residential development. Hours: 7am-7pm daily.

Bob Cupp designed Costa del Sol in 1974, just southwest of Miami International. It has remained a public course throughout, in an area where much of the surrounding land has since been developed.

Costa del Sol Golf Club — Design

Bob Cupp built this in 1974 on flat ground southwest of Miami International, and the difficulty is entirely horizontal: narrow fairways lined with mature trees, water in play on the majority of the holes, and bunkering to catch what the trees miss. The greens are medium-sized and some sit slightly elevated. Five long, narrow par 5s set the rhythm, and the par-3 14th over water is the hole the course is known for. The greens are paspalum.
