Florida Keys —
the southernmost golf in America.

Three courses at the end of the Overseas Highway — Key West Golf Club (the southernmost course in the continental US, with a legendary par 3 over a mangrove field), and the ultra-exclusive Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo (two private eighteens among the most restricted tee sheets in America). The Keys aren't a golf destination in the conventional sense; they're a pilgrimage.

The Region

Florida Keys golf courses, end to end.

Golf in the Florida Keys is not a market — it's an anomaly. The archipelago that extends 120 miles southwest from the mainland supports exactly three courses of note, each with a story no other Florida market can match. Key West Golf Club is the southernmost golf course in the continental United States, a Rees Jones redesign with a par 3 played entirely over a natural mangrove field — a hole that exists nowhere else in American golf. The course dates to the 1920s and the island setting is genuinely tropics-in-the-continental-US. North in Key Largo, Ocean Reef Club is one of America's most exclusive private communities: fewer than 2,000 member families, two distinct eighteens (the Hammock Course and the Dolphin Course), and an access policy as restrictive as any club in Florida. The Keys aren't a place you plan a golf trip around; they're a place you play one round at Key West because you're already there — and one of the genuinely unrepeatable experiences in American golf.
