About Key West Golf Club
Key West Golf Club is the southernmost golf course in the continental United States - a course with roots in the 1920s that Rees Jones redesigned into a 6,526-yard par-70 experience unlike any other in Florida. The signature hole is a par 3 played entirely over a natural mangrove field, offering a shot that exists nowhere else in American golf. The tropical setting, unique ecosystem, and genuine historical character make this a destination round for any golfer visiting the Keys.
History
Key West Golf Club — History
William Langford laid out the original course on Stock Island in 1924. Rees Jones rebuilt it in 1983 into the layout played today, keeping it playable for all abilities on a site hemmed in by mangrove and water.

The only course in the Keys, and the layout has two dates behind it: William Langford drew the original in 1924, and Rees Jones rebuilt it in 1983 into what is played today. Jones worked with what the island gave him, which is mangrove -- the course's known hole is the 143-yard par-3 'Mangrove Hole', carried entirely over a field of thickly intertwined tropical mangrove. It runs about 6,300 yards to a par 70 and is built to be playable for all abilities rather than to punish.
