About Grande Oaks Golf Club
Grande Oaks Golf Club occupies the grounds of the former Rolling Hills Golf and Tennis Club in Davie - the same property where the 1980 film Caddyshack was largely filmed (the pool scene was shot separately at Coral Ridge Country Club in Fort Lauderdale). Raymond Floyd and Signature Course Design redesigned the layout in 2014 when Nova Southeastern University (NSU) acquired the property. It now serves as the home course for NSU Men's and Women's Golf (both NCAA Division II National Champions) and is private - members and NSU program only. A world-class 40-acre practice facility is part of the campus.

William F. Mitchell laid the course out in 1959, with later work by Bill Dietsch. Raymond Floyd rebuilt it in 1998 into the layout played today, keeping the oak framing that distinguishes it.

The course has three eras in it. William F. Mitchell laid it out in 1959, Bill Dietsch worked on it after, and Raymond Floyd rebuilt it in 1998 into the layout members play now. Floyd used the mature oaks the site already had rather than clearing them, so the holes are framed by trees with water brought in along one side -- the opening stretch is deliberately gentle before the lakes start to matter. It runs 6,725 yards to a par 71 over Bermuda 419 fairways to TifEagle greens.
