Woodfield Country Club is a Tom Fazio-designed private club in the western Boca Raton residential market - 27 holes (three nines) on manicured terrain with the consistency and conditioning standards Fazio's work is known for. The club is private in the conventional sense: membership is by referral, and there is no public or semi-private access.
History
Woodfield Country Club — History
Joe Lee laid out the original course. Bob Cupp replaced it in 2002, and Kipp Schulties carried out a full redesign beginning in March 2020 that reopened that November.
Design
Woodfield Country Club — Design
The course has been rebuilt twice over. Joe Lee laid out the original; Bob Cupp replaced it in 2002; and Kipp Schulties carried out a full redesign that began construction in March 2020 and reopened that November, at a reported cost near eight million dollars. What members play now is the Schulties course -- 7,200 yards with an island green at the 17th -- rather than anything surviving from the earlier layouts.
