About Golden Eagle Country Club
Golden Eagle Country Club is Tom Fazio's contribution to Tallahassee - a 6,978-yard private layout long regarded as one of the state capital's most demanding tests, set within a mature gated community in the northeast Tallahassee hills. Fazio's design uses the wooded rolling terrain to create a course that plays longer and harder than the scorecard suggests. Private members and sponsored guests only.
History
Golden Eagle Country Club — History
Fazio, with Dennis Wise, built Golden Eagle in the mid-1980s outside Tallahassee. It has remained the private club at the centre of its residential community since.

Tom Fazio, working with Dennis Wise, built Golden Eagle in the mid-1980s on rolling north Florida ground outside Tallahassee -- terrain with natural movement, which is not what Fazio usually inherits in this state. The result is a course shaped by contour rather than by water, running 6,916 yards to a par 72 over Bermuda greens.
