About Emerald Dunes Golf Club
Emerald Dunes Golf Club is Tom Fazio's 1990 design on artificially constructed dune terrain in West Palm Beach - a deliberate attempt to bring topographic variety to a state that doesn't have much of it naturally. The result is a golf course that plays with more elevation change and visual scale than almost anything else in South Florida, and Fazio's strategic bunkering gives better players something to work with from the 7,006-yard back tees.
History
Emerald Dunes Golf Club — History
Fazio, working with Dennis Wise, opened Emerald Dunes in 1990 with a stated aim of a touch of Scotland and a feel of the Carolinas on West Palm Beach ground that offered neither. He returned in 2012 to revise it.

Emerald Dunes Golf Club — Design
Tom Fazio built Emerald Dunes in 1990 and returned to revise it in 2012. He was after a touch of Scotland and a feel of the Carolinas on flat Palm Beach ground, and the way he got elevation was to build it: the SuperDune rises fifty feet and carries three tees, three greens and a cascading waterfall inside a single feature. It plays 7,306 yards to a par 72 over Bermuda fairways to Tifdwarf greens.
